Land Maverick is an autonomous robot designed to travel around a golf course and test the ground for different nutrient levels. The system takes readings from the ground without collecting any soil samplings, and does not create marks on the grass. The system would be able to autonomously sample the entire course and the results would be turned into a color coded map available on an app or a website.
Our goal with this project is to allow greens staff to be able to identify conditions, such as pre-critical wilt, with less labor as well as be able to use fertilizer, chemicals, or water more accurately for reduced costs.
